February 2011

We hope to present The Mai, by Marina Carr, in February 2011, subject to performance rights availability, and we are seeking people that are interested in participating. If you would like to get involved, please contact Jean.

June 2010

We performed Dancing at Lughnasa, by Brian Friel at St. John's Theatre and Arts Centre, Listowel on Thursday 3rd June 2010, as part of the Writers Week Festival. Once again, it was a full house, and a very appreciative audience. A great night was had by all, and some of the group members continued the night at the Cliff House Hotel, Ballybunnion, for a night of great fun!

May 2010

We presented Last Tango in Sir Harry's Mall, by David Tristram, at the Absolute Hotel and Spa, on the 21st and 29th May 2010, directed by Peggy Coyne. Both performances were in aid of Special Olympics Ireland, and the two performances raised over EUR €2,500, including the proceeds of a raffle on each night, with prizes donated by Ann Franklin, Margaret Fitzgerald, and the Absolute Hotel and Spa.

April 2010

We presented Dancing at Lughnasa, by Brian Friel, at the Belltable, 36 Cecil Street, Limerick, from the 14th to the 17th April, with an additional performance on the afternoon of the 17th, and on the 24th and 25th April at Friars Gate Theatre, Kilmallock. Performances were sold out, and we are delighted that people enjoyed the production. Thank you and congratulations to everyone that participated. Full production details - Here!

February 2010

Kevin O'Connor facilitated a workshop for Changing Times Theatre on the 28th February. It was full, and all the feedback from participants was very positive, as expected - Kevin is an excellent tutor, and everyone had a great time. Pictures now added.

January 2010

The curtain has finally come down on our first production, Bad Sunday, by Mark Wale, which ran on the 28th January at Friars Gate, Kilmallock, and on the 29th and 30th January at the AbsoluteHotel.com, Limerick City.

We played to three packed houses, and feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with people having a great night, whether they attended the theatre in Friars Gate, or the dinner theatre at the hotel. It's likely that dinner theatre will now be an annual event, and Changing Times have already been invited to return by Caoimhe Reidy, the manager of Friars Gate. We were delighted to have been able to perform at both locations, and special thanks to everyone who made us feel so welcome!

Congratulations to all the cast and crew, and we look forward to working with you all again. Thanks also to our patron, John Anthony Murphy for coming down from Dublin to see us!

Pictures have been uploaded - so check them out here.

Are you an aspiring playwright, and would like to hear your play read? Changing Times will shortly be announcing a series of rehearsed readings - and we are interested in hearing from playwrights that would like to hear a reading of their play - a great chance to hear what it sounds like out loud, in the hands of a director and actors. If so, please send on a script, and we will get back to you.
